Under the leadership of Chief Dr. Francesco Lavarra, the Cardiology Department at Jilin Heart Hospital has achieved nationally leading levels in the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, particularly in catheter radiofrequency ablation for complex conditions such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. The department also maintains advanced domestic standards in implantable device therapy for arrhythmias. Since its establishment, the Cardiology Department has been committed to providing the most patient-centered care and was approved as a "National Clinical Key Specialty Construction Project" in 2011.
The department performs radiofrequency ablation for atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation guided by magnetic navigation and 3D mapping systems (Carto RMT), as well as for paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, atrial tachycardia, complex arrhythmias combined with congenital heart disease, idiopathic ventricular tachycardia, post-myocardial infarction ventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia with other organic heart diseases.
